THE U.TEC STORY
USUKI TECHNIQUE
Our company's origins lie in the Usuki plant of the former Oita Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd. In December 2001, Kyoto Seisakusho Co., Ltd. and Oita Kikai Kogyo acquired Nisshinbo Mec. and relocated their operations to that company's headquarters in Kunisaki City, Oita Prefecture.
The Managing Director of Oita Kikai Kogyo in Usuki at the time was Tadayuki Hadano, now President of U.TEC. Hadano decided to purchase the Usuki plant himself and continue the tradition of machine manufacturing in Usuki. Several engineers also chose to remain in Usuki rather than move to the new headquarters in Kunisaki, and joined Hadano in launching a new company, U.TEC an abbreviation of "Usuki Technique".
Founded in January 2002, U.TEC combines expertise in machine manufacturing built up over many years with the catchphrase of making work interesting. Right up to this day, the company continues apply itself to the fundamental mission of inspired manufacturing dedicated to convenience and utility.
